About Central Florida Compassion Center
Our mission at CFLCC is to provide help and hope to families and individuals who are in distressed circumstance.
Since being established in 2004, the Central Florida Compassion Center has seen demand for its services reach beyond the local community to the tri-county area and even to a state level. We are a faith based Christian organization that believes poverty has no religion, color, race or gender. We help anyone in need.
Our goal is not to simply provide a hand out to people that leaves them in a cycle of returning again and again, but to assist them in ways that help them to transform their situation into something positive. We believe in the adage, "Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime."
Endorsed By Businesses
From the very beginning we understood that our mission would require more than a team made up of just a few kind hearted people. It would have to include local businesses and other private organizations.
Thankfully, Central Florida Compassion Center has been blessed with help by very generous organizations ranging from small business owners to Fortune 500 companies. Whether through food drives, event volunteers, financial grants and other donations, businesses prove to be a monumental force in creating a thriving community.
Supported by Volunteers
Outside of just a few paid full-time staff, Central Florida Compassion Center operates primarily on the efforts of generous individuals who volunteer their time and talents.
It is because of volunteers that we have been able to stock our shelves with food, organize our clothing warehouse, build and equip our student learning center, and hold special events that benefit low-income families and homeless individuals.
Government Authorized
Central Florida Compassion Center is an approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable corporation. All contributions made to our organization are tax deductable.
