Client Testimony

"As a senior citizen on a fixed income, I am in need every month. When my bills overwhelm me, the Compassion Center helps me with groceries and other needs. Thank you for caring."

Become a Compassion Volunteer

Because Central Florida Compassion Center is a non-profit organization, our operations depend greatly on the support of the public.

You don't have to give financially in order to be charitable. Below are the many ways in which you can give of your time and talent in order to make the world around you a better place.

Host a Food Drive

Keeping our shelves stocked with food is always an on-going need here at the Central Florida Compassion Center, and the most effective way to accomplish this is through food drives.

Whether you're a business, bank, church or other non-profit entity, hosting a food drive at your location to collect can goods and other non-perishable items is a great way to have your staff, colleagues and patrons participate in community giving.

Corporate Day of Service

Businesses and Entities that don't wish to hold a food drive, but yet still want to be involved with community giving may want to consider participating in a Corporate Day of Service.

By utilizing the strengths and talents of a collective group, businesses can have it's employees gather at the Compassion Center as a small army of volunteers to help in sorting, stocking, organizing and completing important renovation projects. These days of service usually last anywhere from two to six hours, but of course we never seek to limit the generosity of others.

Customer Service Representative

If you are someone who enjoys interacting with others, and want to share a warm heart and smile with someone who could really use it, then consider volunteering as a Customer Service Representative.

A CSR is responsible for aiding our members and patrons with payment of goods, completing applications for services, and answering whatever questions they may have.

Event Coordinator

During special times of the year, the Central Florida Compassion Center holds large community events in cooperation with local police, fire and other social organizations. These events are not only held in order to distribute life sustaining goods, but also to educate and inform on issues ranging from child protection, available social services and the importance of faith.

Bringing all the resources together to pull off a successful event requires someone who is good at communicating and thourough in organizaing.

Pantry Stocking and Organizing

No doubt you've been to the grocery store and seen workers stocking the shelves. Well the Central Florida Compassion Center is no different.

It doesn't take any special talent, just a little bit of your time.

Publishing and Layout

All of our events require flyers, signs, handouts and other pieces of communications in order to inform the public. If you possess the talent to design and layout flyers, brochures and other print publications, we sure could use your help.
